There are many ways to serve at Calvary Chapel of York, and use the spiritual gifts God has given you to minister to others. After you've had an opportunity to get established as a part of our church family, we'd love for you to be able to get involved. Below you'll see a list of general areas for volunteers to get involved.

Children’s Ministry

Providing quality children’s and youth ministries require many faithful ministry workers.  There are a variety of ways to serve: teacher, helper, administrative assistance, and others.  Landon Hoffman can provide additional information and qualifications to serve in this ministry.

Usher/Greeter

Ushers assist in providing a safe and orderly environment for worship.  Greeters welcome the congregation at the door and help visitors by answering their questions and familiarizing them with our church.

Cleaning Team

Volunteers serve every other week to clean and prepare a portion of the facility for worship services.

Café

The Café is the main location for fellowship after worship services.  Complimentary fresh ground coffees, a selection of cold and hot teas, and other beverages are prepared and served by volunteers before and after each worship service.

Worship

Volunteers in the worship ministry serve on worship teams to lead the congregation, or small groups, in worship through song during church services and special events. Sarah Novak can provide additional information to serve in this ministry.

Audio/Video

This ministry includes operation of the audio and lighting systems for church services, youth meetings, and special events; duplication of recorded messages in the Media Center; and operation of video systems to record worship services and project lyrics for worship.

Maintenance

Those in this ministry help maintain the church building.  This includes regular maintenance and repairs, special construction projects, and seasonal outdoor yard work and snow removal.

Prayer Team

Urgent prayer requests in the congregation are distributed by email to members of the prayer team, who commit to intercede before the Lord in prayer.

Meals Ministry

Those in the congregation who are recovering from hospitalization or have great personal loss in their families have meals prepared and delivered to their homes by those in the meals ministry.
